My Experience with Yves Rocher Pure Calmille Cleansing Gel:
Let’s begin the review with the packaging of the product. The cleansing gel comes in a transparent cylindrical plastic bottle. The bottle is very sturdy and closes securely with a screw on lid. The cap has a press on type mechanism. It closes firmly and ensures that the bottle is apt for travel purposes. There is label wrapped around the bottle, which has some necessary product-related information. The clear bottle helps to keep a check on the amount of product left. Overall, the packaging is nice and travel friendly.
The cleansing gel looks like a transparent semi-thick/gel-like liquid. It has a very faint floral fragrance. The fragrance is too mild that it could barely bother anyone. It is really pleasant to sniff. The fragrance lasts for a couple of minutes and fades away gradually.
The consistency of the face wash is gel like and the product tends to slip off. The gel-like formulation spreads easily on the skin and decent amount of lather. This cleansing gel is suitable for normal skin type and it is soap free. I have combination-oily skin and the face wash is performing pretty decently for my skin type as well, but still it creates a little lather somehow. Roughly, a coin-sized amount is good enough for cleansing the face properly. It is very easy to use. Just dampen the face and massage it thoroughly then rinse it off well. It washes off pretty quickly and does not leave any slippery feel behind.
It makes my skin baby soft and smooth after washing. It does not rip of skin oils and prevents the skin from drying. So, my skin looks radiant after washing. It is a very mild and gentle cleanser. So, it is apt for acne-prone skin as well. It does not irritate the skin at all. It has decent cleansing properties. It cleanses my skin very well and helps to get rid of every bit of dirt and grime from my face, gives me a squeaky clean feeling. This product claims to remove makeup as well. It breaks down even the waterproof makeup also like my mascara and cleanses everything nicely. Though, I don’t use it regularly to remove my makeup.
I always double cleanse my skin but sometimes when I feel lazy and I don’t feel like going for elaborated procedure, I reach out for this one. This does its job really well. It does not dry out my skin. This product seems to be more like Cetaphil Cleanser. Overall, this is a good product for normal to oily skin type, but I am sure it will be drying for dry skin type.
