Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their first child in a couple of months, and the couple has been rather forthcoming with information about the pregnancy. We already know that Harry is hoping for a girl, and Meghan (accidentally) revealed that she is due in April. It’s also rumoured that she is using a doula and will give birth in the Lindo Wing like Kate Middleton and Princess Diana.
But one thing that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are keeping very quiet about is baby names. Will they choose one of the most popular British royal baby names? Or will they go with something a little more unusual?
Prince Charles’ royal baby name hint didn’t go unnoticed and Harry has already joked about having a daughter and calling her Harriet – but is there one name that sticks out as the go-to moniker for Harry and Meghan?
Apparently, there is. Many are speculating that the pair will welcome a girl in April, and now the odds have been slashed for the name ‘Victoria’. Betting shop Coral revealed that the odds are down to 8-1, when just a couple of months ago Betfair’s odds on the same name were 20-1.
Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead told OK! online: ‘It won’t be long now until the latest royal baby is welcomed into the family, and the name is always a popular thing for punters to bet on.
‘At the moment it is Victoria that leads the way and is our favourite to be the name of Harry and Meghan’s first child, whilst famous royal names Diana and Philip have also been popular in the betting.’
