Ahead of the launch of Virgil Abloh‘s exhibition at the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art, the creative director announces the opening of a Louis Vuitton pop-up shop. According to WWD, the pop-up will carry all-orange accessories designed by Abloh. The temporary space is slated to feature a giant orange mannequin similar to one spotted at a previous art installation showcased at Louis Vuitton’s New York City flagship.
The lineup is comprised of six different items including a soft trunk shoulder bag, a soft trunk backpack, a leather pair of sneakers, a leather baseball cap, sunglasses and a chain belt. The bags and hat feature an all-over "LV" monogram logo and expertly crafted leather straps. Abloh previously shared a peek at the sneakers back in May on his personal Instagram account. In addition to these pieces, selections from the Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2019 collection presented at Paris Fashion Week Men’s will also be available at the pop-up.
Abloh’s exhibition Figures of Speech will run from June 10 through September 22 alongside the pop-up store titled Church & State located on the fourth floor of the museum. Take a look at the all-orange Louis Vuitton collection in the gallery above.
