Directly following the release of his Tiny Desk Concert showcase with Thundercat and his "Hot Girl Summer" collaboration with Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion, Ty Dolla $ign is linking up with Juicy J and Project Pat for a new single titled "Hottest In The City." Notably, today’s track is reportedly being released to support Ty Dolla $ign’s next full-length studio album and features production from the trio of Juicy J, Crazy Mike and Tay Keith. The song was originally debuted during Ty Dolla $ign’s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon performance last week.
"Before I would just go straight in the booth and freestyle everything and sometimes on this one, I wrote shit on my phone or on a piece of paper, tried to map it out harder," Ty Dolla $ign recently explained to Spin, sharing some insight into the creative process that created "Hottest in the City" and his forthcoming album.
