The Nike Air Force 1 Low has gotten a muted lilac check-patterned update in "Barely Grape". The silhouette hasn’t changed, but the layered designs already make this a new streetwear classic.
Instead of releasing a pure white sneaker, this update is unusually fun. The color blocking effect keeps it refreshing without being visually overwhelming. Toward the back of the sneaker, we see a ‘Barely Grape" check print met with a neon green stripe running down the heel. On the center of the lateral side, there’s a lighter rendition of the lilac check pattern right underneath the Swoosh, creating more depth than decoration. On the tongue there’s an all-white tone that blends into the rubber sole and at the rear of the sole, there’s that classic Air branding.
Arguably, the most subtle detailing is the neon green insole that almost glows under the light. While people won’t be seeing it, every time you slip them on you’re guaranteed to smile a little bit. After all, good design is about making the wearer feel happy.
The sneaker also features OG Nike Air cushioning so that your feet won’t be in pain after a long day of walking. You can also wear them for a game in the court or a gym session, but something tells us these will have a special place in your rotation.
