And if you love a good pair of trainers, take a look at the new Converse x Chinatown Market collaboration. They’ve created UV-activated shoes that change colour as soon as the sun hits them, and you’re going to want a pair immediately.

Talking to Sneaker News about the amazing UV tech, Chinatown Market founder and lead designer Mike Cherman said: ‘I think that’s what’s so fun about this project.
‘It makes the shoe more than just a shoe. It’s a conversation pieces, something that’s unique the wearer.
‘These hues [on the shoe] change in their own way, and some colours will last longer while others will last for a shorter time period. It’s the beauty of the shoes: how unique they are.’
He continued: ‘It changes with you. You go to a music festival, the shoes are all bright and crazy in the sunlight, and the moment you step inside a tent, they go back to their pastel base and are different. That’s what’s so fun.’
The new Converse went on sale this weekend at £81 for the Chuck 70 Hi model and £77 for the Chuck 70s.
A limited number were offered to the public so sadly, the sneakers are no longer available on the Chinatown Market website. But if you really want to get your hands on a pair, there are a few listings on eBay at – you guessed it – an inflated price. If you’re willing to part with around £360 minimum, they’re all yours.
Better get saving.
