Disneyland After Dark: Heroes Assemble

Just in time for the release of the final Avengers flick, Disneyland is hosting a Marvel superhero themed party at Disney California Adventure Park–the first Disneyland After Dark event to be held at California Adventure, in fact. Mix and mingle with assorted MCU characters, snap shots in special photo ops, and more.

Desert Nights Featuring Shawn James and the Little Miss

Hang out at the Standard in West Hollywood for a night of music from Shawn James and the Little Miss, plus a DJ set by KCRW’s Valida. The evening is free, and according to the invite, only good vibes will be allowed.
Independent Shakespeare Co. Presents Julius Caesar
Thursday, May 2
The producers of the popular Griffith Park Shakespeare Festival stage this show at their theater in Atwater Village as they warm up for the big summer event. This version of the classic drama draws its inspiration from a 1937 production staged by Orson Welles at the Mercury Theater. Performances continue through May 11.
Just Like Heaven Festival
Friday, May 3
This new festival of ’00s indie-as-a-genre pop kicks off today at the Queen Mary Events Park in Long Beach. Performers include Phoenix, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, MGMT, Beach House, and other favorites. The show continues on Saturday, as well.
