Singer-songwriter-cellist-style icon Kelsey Lu’s new album just dropped, and she’s playing two shows in L.A. to celebrate. Blood includes collabs with Jamie xx, Skrillex, and Adrian Younge, who join her on tracks that blend avant-garde and pop.
Bikini Kill at Hollywood Palladium
Thursday, April 25
Iconic Riot Grrrl rockers Bikini Kill relive the ’90s at this buzzed-about reunion show, part of the band’s first full tour since 1997. Anticipation around the comeback is so high that the group has four nights booked at the Palladium: April 25-26 and May 1-2.
Jazz at LACMA
Friday, April 26
Beloved spring and summer music series Jazz at LACMA returns for the season. To kick off this year’s program they’re bringing in NEA Jazz Master and Grammy-winner Bill Holman and his Bill Holman Big Band. As ever, the concert is free and open to all.
