Japanese adult toy maker Tenga has just released a special version of its Premium line of sex toys for fresh hires. Known for having a creative approach to marketing its products — they’ve collaborated with the likes of ASSC, the Keith Haring Foundation, STAPLE DESIGN, and RIPNDIP — and a focus on design for each toy, this latest Tenga celebrates a traditional coming-of-age occurrence in Japan.
Called the "Fresher" (a Japanese term used to describe first-year company employees), the toy arrives for the month of April, the same month when young men in Japan will all be starting their full-time jobs; this is due to a highly structured hiring season that’s based off the financial year. What this means is that those young adults will now be able to experience a taste of financial independence, which will see a lot of young men moving out on their own, resulting in them taking private matters into their own hands.
The strangest thing about this limited Tenga is that with each purchase, the owner can enter to win 1/100 bottles of Tenga Furikake — a supposedly sexually-stimulating blend concocted by Tenga. Those 18 and over, that are traveling to Japan, can find these available for purchase until May 31 for a price of ¥810 JPY (approximately $7.50 USD).
