Next month, Hypebae will be commemorating our 3-year anniversary with Fall Formal, a nostalgic, dance-inspired party in New York City. As part of the celebration, we are joining forces with Target to host a panel that will center around emerging creatives who are championing change in the fashion industry, ranging from issues surrounding sustainability to inclusivity.
The panel will be comprised of sustainable designer Hillary Taymour of Collina Strada, Maggie Marilyn of her eponymous sustainable line and Marina Testino, an activist and advocate for sustainable fashion. Moderated by entrepreneur Sharifa Murdock, the creative professionals will discuss setting best practices and teachings in fashion, the risks associated with breaking the norm and what the industry’s new “normal” should be. As the new generation of change agents, the talent will offer insight into the current state of affairs and how the changes made today will impact the future of fashion.
