13 years after exposing McDonald’s, filmmaker Morgan Spurlock Super Size Me fame is back to investigate the "health" focused makeover the fast-food industry has undergone.
Looking to uncover the truths and lies behind the "healthy," "organic," and "natural" labels seen at chains, Spurlock took things further for his upcoming film by setting out to open his own chicken franchise. Chronicling his experience, Super Size Me 2 is a sequel explores how the multibillion-dollar fast food industry has adapted to meet the increasing level of consumer awareness. Aside from detailing the empty labeling of the FDA, Spurlock reveals how poultry is raised, recipe development, designing a brand, location scouting and more.
