Netflix’s latest doc Grass is Greener is touching on a topic that’s been controversial for decades: marijuana.
As the world slowly embraces the use of recreational marijuana, Grass is Greener focuses on the herb’s history, criminalization and relationship with music. Aside from celebrating its seemingly bright future, known advocates such as Fab 5 Freddy, Snoop Dogg, B-Real and Damian Marley also dig deep into the racial struggles the Black and Latino communities have faced in connection to the plant. "We’re not the war on drugs," rapper Snoop Dogg says in the trailer. "We’re fighting the war on drugs."
