New York-based hardcore trio Show Me the Body announce their new album titled Dog Whistle, which drops March 29 via Loma Vista Recordings. To go along with the album announcement, the band share their lead single “Camp Orchestra,” which arrives with a video directed by SMTB and rubberband.
Both the song and visuals are inspired by the band’s visit to Poland’s Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum. The title also references the Jewish orchestra groups formed in concentration camps during World War II.
“This album and our music does not belong to a political party,” Show Me the Body said in a statement. “No authority, political movement, or side may claim the function of our music in this society. This album is personal. It is about and for the disenfranchised youth of this city, of this country, and of this earth. It is for our community and anyone who may find shelter within it.”
Dog Whistle follows up 2017’s Corpus I, which was produced by Chris Coady, Show Me the Body, and Gabriel Millman. Starting in April, the band embarks on a North American tour.
