Just last week, Hailey Baldwin brought her dark brown hair a few shades closer to sun-kissed. And the gilded, dirty-blonde color is shaping up to be spring’s breakout hair-color trend, with Rachel Brosnahan joining in.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel actress just upgraded her signature glossy, black lob with strawberry-blonde highlights — and it’s one of the dreamiest celeb hair-color transformations we’ve seen all year.
The star’s hair change came at the hands of Bumble & Bumble colorist Kitty Greller, who Brosnahan credited in her most recent Instagram Story. The actress posted a Sunday morning selfie with telltale aluminum foil coating her hair. Later that night, the strawberry-blonde waves made an appearance at the red-carpet premiere of Broadway’s What The Constitution Means To Me. Celebrity makeup artist, Lisa Haron, posted this gorgeous close-up of the actress, freshly blonde and all dolled up before the event.
Despite the fact that Brosnahan’s jet-black hair was undeniably piercing against her fair skin, this brighter, blonder shade adds a glow to her flawless complexion and makes her pale-blue eyes pop. So while there’s always a place for dark roots and chocolate-brown color — especially if you’re looking for something super low-maintenance — if you’re itching for a light and bright refresh for spring, you can’t go wrong asking for a creamy blonde à la Brosnahan.
