But while the Royal Family Instagram account often features the Queen, she has never actually posted on the social media platform until this week.
The personal message from the monarch captioned a photograph of a letter from her great-great-grandfather that she found in the Royal Archives of the Science Museum while on a royal engagement.
‘Today, as I visit the Science Museum I was interested to discover a letter from the Royal Archives, written in 1843 to my great-great-grandfather Prince Albert,’ she wrote.
