The Cambridges are one of the most talked-about families in the world, but while the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spend the most time in front of the cameras, it’s their children that really steal the limelight.
This week was no exception as Kate Middleton and Prince William took Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to visit Kate’s new project, her ‘Back to Nature’ garden as part of the Chelsea flower show.

Sharing a series of photographs to the Cambridge family’s Kensington Royal social media channels, the royals posted: ‘Over the past months, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have helped The Duchess gather moss, leaves and twigs to help decorate @The_RHS Back to Nature Garden. Hazel sticks collected by the family were also used to make the garden’s den.’

But it wasn’t the sweet photo of Prince Louis walking that got the world talking today, instead it was a sweet video of all five Cambridges playing in the garden, with Prince William appearing to reveal his sweet nickname for his daughter.
Yes, the video shared to the Kensington Royal account showed the family playing around the rope swing, with Prince George giving his mum a ‘twenty’ out of ten for her garden efforts, something to which Kate exclaimed, ‘How amazing is that?!’

It was when Prince William got on the rope swing that they made the most news however, with the Duke of Cambridge appearing to call Princess Charlotte a very sweet nickname when he asked her to give him a push.
‘Mignonette’, he called out. ‘Give me a push!’.
The nickname proves very sweet with ‘mignon’ translating from French as ‘cute’.
It has divided the internet however, with some royal fans insistent on the fact that Prince William didn’t call his daughter a nickname at all, instead asking his daughter, ‘Have you been on it yet?’.
Have a listen and see for yourself.
