Biden and Garcetti eat at King Taco no. 10
As the presidential race is still in its early form, former vice president Joe Biden made a stop in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Before two fundraising stops that brought in $700,000, plus dinner at STK Westwood, the presidential candidate joined Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti at King Taco on Pico near Alvarado. Biden spoke to reporters about immigration, gun control, and Congressional investigations into President Trump. Biden also noted his reluctance to run if Garcetti jumped into the race. According to L.A. Taco, Garcetti provided his backing — to King Taco. “I do endorse King Taco, the best taco around.”
A Writer Walks into Cafe Gratitude wearing a Trump MAGA hat
In an experiment gone awkward, Los Angeles Magazine writer Joel Stein donned a red “Make America Great Again” hat into one the deep cornerstones of Larchmont at Cafe Gratitude. Stein is knee-deep in research for his for his forthcoming book about “political tribalism,” and found that his visit to a liberal echo chamber wearing a polarizing and distinct symbol of our times wasn’t as bad as he anticipated. Stein loaded up on Gratitude’s signature “I Am Grateful” bowl with kale, quinoa, black beans, and garlic-tahini sauce.

Today I got to help a beautiful couple celebrate their soon to be baby girl. I had so much fun making this pink ombré cake with vanilla bean frosting. I had to make twice the amount of cake layers, experimenting with different pinks until I got it juuuuuuust right. Many blessings to the parents to be!

Eater reported about the ongoing boycotts, but Los Angeles City Councilman Paul Koretz also chimed in this week. According to the Los Angeles Times, Koretz recommended city employees will not conduct business, stay at, or attend any function at either property until these laws are repealed.
