Porsche has unveiled the 2020 Macan Turbo and has listed a host of mechanical updates that will come along with it, such as a new engine, more power and body kit modifications.
The old Macan Turbo was powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6, but now Porsche has given its mid-sized SUV a smaller 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6. The new Biturbo configuration means that it is capable of producing 434 BHP and 405 lb-ft of torque, which propels the car from 0-62 MPH in just 4.3 seconds. The power is put to the Porsche Traction Management all-wheel-drive system to the road via a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, too.
For those looking for even more speed, Porsche will add the Sport Chrono Package which will take the Macan Turbo all the way to 167 MPH before it tops out. To control all that speed, the German automotive company has added a new set of brakes that feature a host of technological features such as Porsche Surface Coating — meaning the discs come with a tungsten carbide coating that increases response, reduces wear and promises up to 90% less brake dust compared to traditional cast iron brakes.
New 20-inch Macan Turbo wheels come as standard, as does a lightly redesigned front end featuring Dynamic Light System LED headlights and three large air intakes. New side skirts have been equipped, as has a fixed roof spoiler, faux rear diffuser and a quad set of tailpipes finished in silver.
Inside you can find 18-way power-adjustable sports seats in the front, a spacious rear, as well as a 14-speaker Bose sound system, which is controlled along with all other entertainment options on Porsche’s 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
