Panerai has announced this year’s new releases of the Luminor Due Collection, introducing three new models that share a brushed titanium case and blue satiné soleil finish, and an other three that embody different arrays of character and style. The Italian watchmaker retains the classic icons of the Panerai watch while updating it with a slimmer profile for a modern, versatile look.
The dark blue PAM 00926, PAM 00927 and PAM 00964 watches with sapphire crystal backs and semi-matte alligator straps come in three different sizes: 38 mm, 42 mm and 45 mm, respectively. The Luminor Due GMT Power reserve is Panerai’s first "45 mm" watch and holds a P.4002 calibre. The taupe brown PAM1043 and red PAM1045 watches are available in 38 mm, while the dark brown PAM1046 watch with a "Ponte Vecchio" calf leather strap is only available in 42 mm. The three new Luminor watches offered in 38 and 42 mm sizes come with stainless steel or Goldtech cases and are complemented by a wide-ranging choice of personal leather straps.
Like the military green Radiomir collection, the new watches are also water resistant to a depth of about 30 meters. All the new watches of the Due Collection have interchangeable straps equipped with the Quick Release system. The new P.900 calibre with a thickness of 4.2 mm introduced in the 38 mm watches is one of the thinnest automatic movements produced at the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel. It is also the first automatic watch with this diameter to have both a date display and power reserve of three days
Prices range from $6,900 to $20,500 USD. Stay up to date with the Italian watchmaker’s releases and browse past collections on Panerai’s website.
In other watch-related news, Shinola reworked the Runwell, one of its most classic timepiece models, into a more casual, entry-level collection called Detrola.
