A new trailer for Nintendo‘s highly-anticipated Pokémon Sword and Shield has arrived, showcasing new gameplay, new mechanics, and the title’s slew of new creatures to capture. The new Switch title features co-op mode as well as Raids, introduced in Pokémon Go.
During Max Raid Battles, a group of up to four players, in-person or online, can battle against Pokémon with enhanced strength for a chance to catch rare Pokémon. These opposing creatures will utilize the new Dynomax mechanic, which transforms Pokémon into huge versions of themselves with Z-Moves replacing their standard attacks for three turns.
Gym Leaders are built around this mechanic and luckily, players will be able to Dynomax their Pokémon as well. The region of Galar is confirmed to be based around the United Kingdom and as such, so are the location’s new Pokémon. In the footage above, we see new creatures Gossifluer, Drednaw, Wooloo—a fluffy sheep, and Corviknight—a knight-like bird.
At the final moments of the trailer, we get a look at new legendaries Zacian and Zamazenta from Sword and Shield, respectively. One of these dog-like creatures holds a sword in its mouth, while the other has a mane with the same properties as a legitimate Shield.
Check out the video above and grab Pokémon Sword and Shield November 15.

Leon is the Champion of Galar. He’s never been defeated in an official Pokémon battle.
His personality, together with his peerless skill, has made him extremely popular. He’s referred to as “the greatest Trainer in all of Galar.”
Think you can change that? #PokemonSwordShield pic.twitter.com/3HmxDsbkx6
