The Japanese branches of New Era and New Balance have joined forces in the spirit of personalization to deliver a set of customizable goods. Encompassing a special pair of CM997H runners and a 9FIFTY hat, the collaboration centers around shared materials and several removable features.
Neutral tones inform both the cap and sneakers, with shades of grey wool twill, leather and rubber appearing throughout. The snapback cap takes on a more dramatic appearance, with dramatic patchworked panels emphasizing the off-center "N" logo on the front. Of course, the highlight of the pack is the removable "N" logo, laces and snap (for the hat), each offered in five bright shades. A playful package, emblazoned with "CHOOSE YOUR OWN STYLE" verbiage, rounds out the release.
Look for the collaborative set to hit New Balance Japan’s web store on July 26 for ¥21,000 JPY (approximately $195 USD).
Most recently, New Balance served up the Vibram-soled Urban Peak 575 runner.
