After recently splashing its 997H with bright shades of turquoise and hot pink, New Balance has unveiled a series of new 997S styles launching next month. The brand’s signature 997 gets strapped with a sturdier sole unit in the updated model, which is heading down the pipeline in a flurry of new colorways.
For the upcoming edition, New Balance has equipped the footwear with a midsole that combines its Encap Reveal and Abzorb technologies for one of the label’s most cushioned sneakers yet. The upgrades continue along the upper — constructed of mesh with suede or leather paneling details — which is described as having a more "form-fitting" silhouette. Several colors are slated for the shoe’s initial release, spanning neutral options like monochromatic grey and black to brighter choices like royal blue and red.
Priced at $120 USD, look out for the incoming 997S to launch on July 13 at New Balance’s webstore.
