Just days after actor Bob Odenkirk (who plays Saul Goodman) revealed that the long-anticipated Breaking Bad film had already been shot, Netflix has now revealed the date for the project’s release via a newly released teaser trailer. The film, El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, “reunites fans with Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul). In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future.”
The film continues with Breaking Bad creator and visionary Vince Gilligan, who has helmed the project as both writer and director. The trailer showcases Skinny Pete — one of Pinkman’s longtime associates throughout the series — can be seen being interrogated by FBI agents who are asking of Pinkman’s whereabouts. Pete, familiar with his friend’s history alongside Jack Welker’s white supremacist gang, questions the FBI’s purpose, further asking why he would help put his friend into another “cage.”
You can check out the full teaser trailer and date announcement above. El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, arrives via Netflix on October 11.
