This is what he reportedly proposed when they first met
Meghan Markle didn’t meet Donald Trump during his state visit to the UK this week. While the President of the United States attended a fancy dinner with the Queen (who may or may not have been shading him with her tiara) and afternoon tea with Prince Charles, the Duchess of Sussex was nowhere to be seen as she is still on maternity leave looking after baby Archie.
However, that doesn’t mean the two names haven’t been in countless headlines together over the last few days. Trump was recorded calling Meghan ‘nasty’ for her previous comments about him during the 2016 US Elections, and Prince Harry’s response is exactly as you’d expect. Trump later tried to explain what he really meant, but it hasn’t exactly soothed the situation.
But just as the furore over his comments begins to die down, a friend of Meghan’s has spoken out about the ‘super creepy’ offer that Trump made the former Suits star back in 2006.
Celebrities have previously discussed their encounters with Trump. Salma Hayek claims that he tried to get her to cheat on her boyfriend when they met, and Emma Thompson once revealed that the now-President surprise called her to ask for a date. He also reportedly tried to woo Princess Diana.
And it looks like Meghan also rejected his advances early on in her career.
At the time, Meghan was working on the US version of Deal Or No Deal and Trump used to visit the set regularly according to her pal, Tameka Jacobs.
Apparently, Trump liked ‘giving girls his card and inviting them to play golf at one of his courses.’
However, Meghan declined the offer, with Tameka adding: ‘He was super creepy, but some girls were attracted to money and power and took his number.’
It doesn’t sound as though Meghan was that taken by the proposal, however.
