Influential Japanese label Suicoke rejoins frequent collaborator mastermind JAPAN for the pair’s seventh collaborative release. Repurposing the KAW silhouette yet again, mastermind has given the slide sandal another logo-heavy makeover, emblazoning the understated shoe in black shades to emphasize its signature branding.
Though past Suicoke collaborations have employed some color, none of mastermind’s joint efforts have refrained from liberal usage of the Japanese label’s infamous skull-and-crossbones logo. This pair of KAW sandals sports oversized branding on the nylon forefoot strap, with swirling logos printed all around the top and sides. Co-branding appears on the smaller velcro strap, complete with more logos atop the new metal hardware to match the silver embroidery. Tonal black detailing keeps the shoe’s Vibram footbed understated, placing the focus entirely on the logos.
Expect the sandals to hit Suicoke’s international sites on August 9, with a special release one day earlier for Crew members.
Elsewhere, mastermind JAPAN reunited with BAPE for more monochrome camo goods.
