Louis Vuitton‘s Staples Edition collection is informed by artistic director Virgil Abloh‘s desire to create timeless garments intended for year-round wear, upgraded essentials for any wardrobe. Abloh tapped a selection of models, including Palace’s Lucien Clarke, to showcase the first full range of Staples Edition goods.
As the collection is essentially seasonless, it offers wool topcoats, puffers and leather shirts alongside light-weight fare like nylon track pants and woven T-shirts. Denim jackets are offered in black and washed-out indigo editions, as versatile as the trim black tailoring and the classic white button-up shirts. The collection’s neutral color palette ensures maximum versatility, with the range exclusively offering pieces in camel, beige, navy, black or white.
Exquisite leather accessories are peppered throughout the campaign, with lavish navy backpacks and black shoulderbags complementing the monogrammed derbies and white "LV Trainer" sneakers. More subtle flair comes by way of understated premium touches, like the ever-present leather or denim care-tags attached to each item, leather-trimmed zippers and "LV"-stitched buttons.
Staples Edition pieces are currently available on Louis Vuitton’s website and the French fashion giant’s larger global boutiques.
