NeatherRealms has released a new Mortal Kombat 11 gameplay trailer featuring the newly-announced addition of Johnny Cage to the roster. The classic character showcases his hallmark attacks, such as his shadow kicks and green fireballs, but we also see a lot of his techniques from Mortal Kombat X implemented here as well.
A lot of his newer attacks are meant to reflect his background as a Hollywood action star also. He has his stunt double come in to hold enemies down, can throw his sunglasses as a projectile, and blind people with the flash of a camera.
Most strikingly, Cage can impale opponents with his Best Actor award as his Fatal Blow and reference a former Mortal Kombat 2 glitch in his fatality, which sees him attempt to uppercut his dazed foe’s head three times as the stage turns to a live set complete with a crew. Afterward, Cage shows off his action figure.
Mortal Kombat 11 drops on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One on April 23.
In other gaming news, Nintendo dropped a new trailer for Pokémon Sword and Shield.
