I Currently Own 29 Swimsuits, But These Are the Only 13 I Actually Wear

I need to start by acknowledging that owning this many swimsuits is not normal and is actually something I’m quite embarrassed about. I came up with the idea for this article while recently cleaning out my closet which included my swim drawer. As I sifted through the endless amount of swimsuits, I realized that even though I "like" all of the bikinis and one-pieces in my drawer, there were only 13 (once I counted them) I actually love wearing.

With that said, I decided to highlight those 13 swimsuits for you all here. There are so many different styles of suits these days, so I’m not here to pressure you into liking the same things I am, but as someone who has tried on her fair share of swimwear, I can confidently say that the selection ahead is certainly worth testing out for yourself if you have been struggling to find the suit that feels amazing on you. I also need to acknowledge that there are so many Solid & Striped swimsuits in this roundup.

The reason? I simply love them. I have found that no matter what the style, Solid & Striped swimwear flatters my body best, so I wanted to be honest about just how deep my love for the brand runs. Ahead, check out the 13 swimsuits I wear on repeat and see some of the ones I currently have on my summer 2019 wish list (as if I need any more).

+ Onia Susana Irregular Rib Bottom ($120). This suit is a rarity in that it doesn’t dig into your body, creating unnecessary bulges or uncomfortable marks. The bottoms are so comfortable, and the top feels so different than most underwire bikinis.

If you’re into high-rise bikinis, this is the one to try for summer 2019. The print feels exciting, the top fits like a glove, and the bottoms hit at exactly the right spot.

Long story short, I saw Dua Lipa wearing this swimsuit and snagged it immediately. A jungle print isn’t normally the path I would choose on my own, but hey, that’s what celebs are for right? To shamelessly copy.

+ Ookioh Monaco Bottom ($49). When this swimsuit brand came to fruition last year, I was immediately a fan. Between the retro styles and the affordable price points, there really isn’t a reason not to love it.

A short-sleeved swimsuit? Bold but cute. The bottoms look great on, sitting at the most flattering part of my hip.

This bikini reminds me of a lifeguard sans the Baywatch connotation. The little drawstring brings attention to my midsection in all the best ways, and the contrasting white trim somehow makes you look perfectly sun-kissed.

This one-piece (the only one-piece I’m including here, if you haven’t already noticed) is truly a miracle worker. Yes, it looks insanely chic as a swimsuit, but it also can double as an elevated bodysuit to wear with jeans, skirts, and more, whether you’re on a vacation or not.

Leopard, underwire, and a high-cut leg? This one was a no-brainer.

Normally anything one-shoulder kind of scares me, but this bikini completely changed my mind. The slightly seersucker fabric feels so comfortable, and I can guarantee you it will win you many compliments.

Another sporty high-rise bikini I added to my collection. Are you sensing a theme here? This one is great because the black feels easy, while the straps still make it feel fashion-y.

I know—this one is a lot, but once you feel how soft and cozy the material is in person, you’ll be forever convinced.

As you can already probably tell, I’m not usually a low-rise-bikini kind of gal, but the print of this one combined with the sportier cut of the top makes me actually appreciate the normalcy of these bottoms.

+ Marysia Palm Springs Scalloped Bikini Briefs ($150). Last but not least, this must-have Marysia swimsuit. I actually own this in dark brown, which is sadly no longer available, but I figured black was my next best bet. The scalloping does wonders to the frame, and the top can easily double as a crop top.
