After announcing that the collection will release at Dover Street Market locations around the world, Hiroshi Fujiwara has given a full look at the THUNDERBOLT PROJECT BY FRGMT & POKÉMON. The collection spans apparel — with graphic hoodies and T-shirts — as well as a key chain-sized mascot piece. The full range comes in a black color palette, with one set of yellow graphics the only pops of color throughout the seven-piece collection.
Graphics on the hoodies reference Pikachu, as well as reworking the fragment design logo into Pokémon-style prints. Pikachu also features on the T-shirts — alongside Eevee — as well as on the key chain-sized THUNDERBOLT PROJECT Original Pikachu Mascot. For this release, the mascot comes in dark grey, a long way off Pikachu’s original bright yellow coloring.
Ahead of the collection’s release at DSM locations in April, Dover Street Market Ginza will hold and exclusive pre-release on April 6. Expect the collection to arrive at other stores shortly after.
In other fashion news, Stüssy, Patta and Nike are taking part in this year’s Homecoming festival in Lagos.
