Easter eggs for Spider-Man: Far From Home have now begun to surface. After playing in theatres for over a week now, earning $185 million USD domestically in the first 6 days, Marvel fans have scoured the footage to bring to light some of the references you may have missed while watching the film.
Compiled by Screen Rant, the 17-minute-long video goes through 25 Easter eggs that are sure to put a smile on your face in true nostalgic fashion. Amongst the 25 discovered hidden references, our top picks can be found below, but beware for those who have yet to see the blockbuster, spoilers lay ahead.
License Plates and Numbers – A series of license plates and numbers reference back to old comic books in the film. A good example can be seen just before the appearance of Hydron the water elemental. A boat with "ASM 212" printed at the side references the Amazing Spider-Man #212 — the debut of Hydro-man.
Hidden Wresting Posters – In an early scene, there’s a poster advertising a wresting match with the names "Bonesaw McGraw" and "Crusher Hogan." Crusher Hogan is the underground wrestler who Peter Parker tests his new found strength on. Crusher Hogan’s name was later changed to Bonesaw McGraw in the Sam Raimi-directed Spider-Man; he was played by the late Macho Man Randy Savage.
Nod to the Sinister Six – Nick Fury’s henchman is named Dimitri which could point towards Dimitri Smerdyakov AKA Chameleon.
