Gucci has dropped two zip-up sweaters featuring its iconic "GG" logo print as we ready ourselves for the colder months ahead. The Alessandro Michele-designed pieces are oversized and reference the 1970s — a big inspiration for many of the house’s bold designs.
The first offering is a black GG star sweater, featuring an all-over mix of linked "GG" logos in yellow alongside red stars. The piece features a central silver zipper that goes right up to a large ribbed collar, making for a mock neck collar on the sweater. Ribbing is also seen on the cuffs and hem.
Gucci’s second Fall-ready piece is a navy and white jacquard zip-up sweater. Even bolder than the other offering, this Gucci sweater features wool-blend striped in navy and white with metallic gold-toned criss-cross detailing all over. Underneath the pattern, Gucci has added a v-shaped green and red pattern, giving the sweater a sleeveless vest aesthetic. Metallic gold jacquard "GG" logos repeat along the house’s signature stripes on the front and rear, while silver-toned hardware and ribbed detailing rounds off the piece.
The black GG star sweater is priced at $2,200 USD, while the navy and white jacquard zip-up is priced at $3,700 USD. Both are available from retailers such as SSENSE.
In other news, Gucci has replaced Off-Whiteâ„¢ as the world’s hottest brand for Q2 2019.
