Google has just added a clever little Easter egg to its search bar in celebration of The Wizard of Oz‘s 80th anniversary.
The Easter egg is prompted when “Wizard of Oz” is searched. Users will then see a pair of ruby slippers at the top-right section of the screen. When clicking on the pair of slippers, the heels of the slippers begin to click and the screen begins to spin while Dorothy Gale can be heard saying, "There’s no place like home."
All search results are now in black-and-white and in place of the ruby slippers is now an image of a tornado. Clicking on the tornado brings up a spinning house with Dorothy now yelling “Auntie Em!.” This brings everything back to normal. Those interested in experiencing this nod towards the classic film can try it now throughout the weekend.
In other news, Sony’s leaked PlayStation 5 dev kit design has been rendered.
