Givaudan has announced the launch of Scentaurus, a family of fragrance precursors designed to expand the palette of ingredients allowing perfumers the possibility to formulate long lasting fragrances. A fragrance precursor is a low odour molecule which, when exposed to an external trigger such as oxygen, light or water, will release at least one fragrant molecule.
