In November of 2018 HBO confirmed a Game of Thrones reunion special would surface after the series’ final season.
And now today we have our first look at the reunion hosted by Conan O’Brien. Although it’s only a short two-and-a-half-minute glimpse, there’s plenty of footage to amuse fans until the full interview lands such as Kit Harington telling his younger, babyface self to “f*ck off,” witnessing the blooming friendship shared between Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams, and Isaac Hempstead Wright when he was but a small child.
Fans will be able to watch the reunion in its entirety when the Game of Thrones: The Complete Series Blu-ray box set drops on December 3. Unfortunately it won’t be aired on the HBO channel or either of its apps, HBO Go and HBO Now.
GoT wrapped up its eighth and final season back in May to mixed reviews. Since then the cast have expressed how they wished the epic fantasy would have ended including Maisie Williams, who wanted to see Arya complete her death list.
In related news, the Game of Thrones prequel has officially begun filming in Northern Ireland. The first season is expected to air in 2021.
