This weekend GirlBoss, a digital hub focusing on providing millennial women with the tools they need to be successful both professionally and in their personal lives, is hosting their GirlBoss Rally in L.A. Through conversations with industry professionals, intimate workshops, and myriad networking opportunities, this conference seeks to build up a community of future female leaders.
In addition to these experiences, founder and CEO of GirlBoss, Sophia Amoruso will be offering a first-hand look at GirlBoss’ newest launch, a social network for pro networking with your fellow lady leaders, which will be unveiled on Saturday, June 29.
From Paris Hilton to renowned designers to L.A. movers and shakers as well as young CEO’s and entrepreneurs, here’s a list of speakers you should check out.
1. Paris Hilton
Businesswoman, entrepreneur, and low-key favorite pop star, Paris Hilton will be at the GirlBoss Rally on Sunday, June 30. She’ll be talking about shame, bullying and the future of social.
2. Julissa Prado
Alongside Brittany Chavez (founder and CEO of Shop Latinx) and Patty Delgado (founder and CEO of Hija de tu Madre), Julissa Prado of Rizos Curls will be hosting a workshop titled “Brand Building for Startups–On A Budget.” If you’re thinking of starting your own business, you won’t want to miss this one.
3. Aurora James
Designer and founder of the Brooklyn-based shoe brand Brother Vellies, Aurora James is sure to be a speaker you won’t want to miss. With her unique business model of creating and sustaining artisanal jobs within Africa, her handmade designs are not only beautiful but also give back to a community of women who are often overlooked. We’re sure she’s bound to drop some serious knowledge for those looking to start their own business in a way that’s not only successful but responsible to the community.
4. Erica Chidi Cohen
Alongside her business partner and friend Quinn Lundberg, Erica Chidi Cohen opened the reproductive wellness hub LOOM in October of last year. Now, she’s taking her knowledge on parenting and education surrounding that to the Girlboss rally this weekend.
5. Emma Grede
Co-founder and CEO of Good American (Khloé Kardashian’s clothing line), Emma Grede will be dropping some knowledge during a panel that will focus on “selling out and how to convert your brand into sales.” She will be joined alongside Meredith Schroeder (Fleur Marché), and Sara Tardiff (GirlBoss).
6. Gabbi Greg
Fashion designer and influencer Gabbi Greg is a delight to follow on the ‘gram and now you’ll be able to hear from her IRL at this weekend’s GirlBoss Rally on Saturday, June 29. She’ll be part of a panel alongside Erica Chidi Cohen (LOOM), Beatriz Acevedo (mitú, Acevedo Foundation), and Theresa Avila (GirlBoss), talking about “The Personal Cost of Being An Entrepreneur.”
7. Michelle Phan
You know Michelle Phan from her beauty vlogging days who’s the OG of YouTube personalities. Now, she’s coming to L.A. this weekend to talk to us about her life and career after that phase in her life. Check out her workshop “Building (Multi-Million Dollar Companies), Resting, and Rebuilding” on Saturday, June 29.
