Following up on FENTY‘s last drop, the fashion house creative directed by Rihanna has unveiled its latest campaign for its next collection "Release 8-19." Shot by art photographer Liz Johnson Artur, the imagery focuses on Pre-Fall staples such as heeled boots, well-tailored blazers and oversized outerwear.
According to an official press release, "Release 8-19" will feature pieces that challenge and transform traditions of men’s suiting. The campaign explores themes of sisterhood and extravagance in a series of candid moments shot in the Peckham district of South London. Standouts in the collection beyond suiting include a pair of leather trousers, a leather skirt and new sunglasses styles.
Johnson Artur currently lives and works in London where she has spent the last three decades highlighting the lives of black people throughout the African Diaspora. Her critically acclaimed work has been exhibited at Serpentine Galleries in London, the Brooklyn Museum and South London Gallery. Her show "If you know the beginning, the end is no trouble," is currently on view until September 1 at the South London Gallery.
FENTY’s "Release 8-19" collection will be available for purchase online on August 28. Take a look at the fashion house’s campaign in the gallery above.
