This week saw Donald Trump’s second UK tour, with the President staying for three days in London as a guest of the Queen.
The Trump family arrived en masse, with their full UK tour itinerary ranging from afternoon tea with Prince Charles and Camilla to a sit down state banquet (that reportedly failed to receive many RSVPs from politicians).
One particularly awkward event on the schedule was a sit down private meal for the Trumps with Prince Harry – coming at the worst time – after Donald’s comments about Meghan Markle being ‘nasty’ emerged.
The president spoke about Meghan in an interview published by The Sun, with the paper later sharing the recording to prove that their reporting was accurate.
During the interview, Donald was asked what he thought about Meghan’s criticism of him.
‘I didn’t know that, no. I didn’t know that,’ Trump replied. ‘No, I hope she’s OK. I did not know that, no.’ He later continued: ‘No, I didn’t know that she was nasty.’
‘She will be very good, she will be very good,’ he went on to explain of Meghan as a royal family member. ‘I hope she does.’
I never called Meghan Markle “nasty.” Made up by the Fake News Media, and they got caught cold! Will @CNN, @nytimes and others apologize? Doubt it!

Before his sit-down with Prince Harry however, Donald tweeted out ‘I never called Meghan Markle “nasty.” Made up by the Fake News Media, and they got caught cold! Will @CNN, @nytimes and others apologize? Doubt it!’.
After the recordings were released as proof however, Trump seemed to backtrack, going on Good Morning Britain with Piers Morgan to clear up the controversial comments.
‘I wasn’t referring to she’s nasty,’ he explained. ‘I said she was nasty about me, and essentially I didn’t know she was nasty about me. But you know what, she’s doing a good job, I hope she enjoys her life.’
Well that’s that.
