Daily Paper’s SS19 collection was a large collection of relaxed pieces, filled with playful details and colorful patterning. Recently, the Amsterdam-based brand has returned with a business-savvy lookbook that is inspired by Africa’s involvement in the fourth industrial revolution.
Centred around the concept of Africa leapfrogging and mastering the 4th Industrial Revolution, for the SS19 season Daily Paper explores survival and success in the digital age and the need to invest in ourselves and take power back into our own hands. Reconnecting with humanity and the community within an environment of rising automation and leverage the technology before it leverages us.
The Daily Paper editorial is shot in the foreground of an office setting, seeking to highlight the imbalances between the power of big corporation; attempting to bring power back to the younger generation of entrepreneurs. The grand vision is to encourage the "community to invest in themselves and build their own value. " The editorial employs the use of a wide color pallete to its advantage, and features many of the collection’s key colorful pieces.
The collection is available now via Daily Paper’s website, the brand’s Amsterdam stores and other select retailers.
