Model, actress, singer and activist Cara Delevingne takes center stage in the latest episode of Sneaker Shopping, chatting about her own sneakerhead history and favorite sneaker moments. Later, the multi-talented creative takes to the shelves of Sneakersnstuff LA to do some shopping and pick up some seasonal essentials.
Delevingne famously began modeling at the young age of 10, but even prior to that she had developed a fixation for footwear at an even younger age, which occasionally required some special alterations. "One of the first trainers I had were a pair of [Converse] All-Stars," she says. "When my feet started to grow too big, my family cut off the white bit at the end so that my toes could grow out the front."
Later, Delevingne breaks down her love for the controversial hybrid Air Jordan Force XII, recalls the time she wore PUMA Fenty Creepers to The White House and explains that when it comes to footwear, comfort is key. "You might as well be able to wear trainers with a suit or a dress or whatever — a bikini, naked," Delevingne exclaims. "I honestly could sleep in my trainers ’cause I’m so comfortable in them."
Despite her status as a PUMA ambassador, Delevingne picks up a wide array of kicks for under $150 USD apiece, from the adidas Ozweego "Pride 2019" to the Air Jordan 5 "Laney", though she makes room for a couple Ralph Sampson models.
