One month after the debut of Canada Goose’s Spring 2019 campaign, the renowned outerwear brand has teamed up with GORE-TEX for a new limited-edition capsule collection. Known as the "Nomad" collection, this drop serves as the first time Canada Goose and GORE-TEX have connected for a collaborative line, and was "designed to protect the urban explorer" from the rougher elements that the seasons bring — such as downpours and harsh winds.
Specifically, Canada Goose and GORE-TEX’s "Nomad" collaboration delivers two new, lightweight outerwear styles: the Nomad Jacket and the Nomad HyBridge Lite Jacket. The former item features a "waterproof and breathable rain shell features a mesh venting underneath the back panel and underarm, allowing for airflow while keeping the explorer dry." The latter offering is water-resistant and utilizes GORE-TEX INFINIUM fabric for maintaining warmth and ensuring that precipitation stays away; it also boasts an anti-abrasion "soft shell material with four-way stretch" known as Tensile-Tech, which is "strategically-placed" on the jacket for easy movement. The aforementioned jackets are available in male and female options. Like many other wares from Canada Goose and GORE-TEX’s past releases, these products emphasize both function and form.
Canada Goose and GORE-TEX’s new "Nomad" capsule collection will officially be available for purchase starting April 8; Canada Goose stores, select retailers and the official Canada Goose website will carry the collaboration. The Nomad Jacket will retail for $850 USD, while the Nomad HyBridge Lite Jacket will sell for $750 USD.
