Rapper Wiz Khalifa, who earlier this year showcased his affection for comfortable, contemporary-style interiors in Architectural Digest, has purchased a freshly built mini-mansion in the southern San Fernando Valley, according to an announcement from the seller’s real estate brokerage.
Khalifa will be the first owner of the five-bedroom Encino residence, which replaced a 1950s ranch house that previously stood on the one-third-acre lot. The new house is boxy, with airy interiors and nearly 6,000 square feet of living space.
Equipped with six and a half bathrooms, the house is not short on amenities. It features an enormous kitchen, state-of-the-art appliances and fixtures, a built-in wine bar, multiple fireplaces, a home theater, a smart security system, and an abundance of closet space.
In the backyard is a barbecue area and outdoor kitchen, a swimming pool and spa, and a pool house with its own bathroom.
Multiple balconies line the second level, including one accessed directly from the master suite.
Per Architectural Digest, Khalifa was earlier this year paying $16,000 per month for an LA rental. He paid $3.4 million for his new home.
Agents David Ferrugio and Ben Bacal of Rodeo Realty had the listing.
