(KGTV) – Heavy snow, mudslides and crashes led the California Highway Patrol to shut down Interstate 5 and Pacific Coast Highway Monday.
Both directions of I-5 closed through the Grapevine pass due to snow and crashes, Caltrans reported. The snow was expected to continue falling through the early evening.

Closer to the coast, Pacific Coast Highway was shut down near Broad Beach Road in Malibu due to mud covering the lanes. Malibu city officials said residents would be allowed to enter the area with identification when it was deemed safe.
Pacific Coast Highway (SR-1) is closed in both direction from Trancas Canyon Rd./Borad Beach Rd. in
to Las Posas Rd. in Ventura due to significant mud flow and runoff in various areas that has covered lanes. Residents are allowed w/ID as long as it is safe.
