Officials say water to dozens of customers in a South Los Angeles neighborhood is now safe to drink after a water main break cut off their service.
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power announced late Monday that it had lifted a notice advising the customers to boil their water. The notice was issued when water service was restored over the weekend.
The water main break flooded streets on Friday, forcing residents to flee their homes and submerging several vehicles.
Officials say red tags on three remaining homes were also lifted, allowing their residents to return.
