The Lakers are looking to bolster their ranks around star man LeBron James.
And they want reinforcements to arrive before the trade deadline on February 7.
Parsons is expected to leave the Grizzlies after a fall out with team bosses.
However, Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks are also keeping tabs on the small forward.
According to Fox Sport’s NBA analyst Jason McIntyre, the Lakers are eyeing up a move for Parsons.
“He and Memphis are parting ways obviously or have parted in the last couple of days,” McIntyre told heavy.com.
“Keep an eye on Chandler Parsons and possibly going to the Lakers.
“But like, cause I know Chandler Parsons has a bad rep around the league as kind of a soft player, but he’s immensely talented.
“And of course, you know this, he’s a phenomenal shooter.
“We know the Rockets are going to have interest and the Mavericks are going to have interest.”
If all three franchises battle for Parsons then McIntyre feels the Lakers could have the edge.
“This is a guy who can space the floor, again, doesn’t play a tonne of defence, is perpetually injured,” he added.
“But I would be curious, he’s a big LA guy, you know, he loves going out on the club scene out here in LA.
“I think he’s going to look hard at and be looked at by the Mavericks, the Lakers and the Rockets.”
Parson was gutted to leave the Grizzlies but is looking forward to the future.
“I am extremely disappointed that I didn’t get to finish this season alongside my team-mates and the Memphis coaching staff,” Parsons told ESPN.
“Unfortunately that option wasn’t presented to me.”
