Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the world’s eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. We’ll be following the Meghan Markle Effect™ with our column, “Meghan Markle Wore a Thing.”
The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has had a pretty packed day of royal duties: First, the mother-to-be visited with pups at an animal welfare charity and later she got all dolled up to attend the premiere of Cirque du Soleil’s “Totem” show in support of Sentebale at the Royal Albert Hall. Sentebale was founded back in 2006 by the Duke of Sussex in conjunction with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in order to provide support to young people affected by HIV in southern Africa.
For the special occasion, the Duchess turned up in a long-sleeve, sequined Roland Mouret gown with a leg slit. The close-fitting, floor-length garment was accessorized with a sold-out Givenchy satin clutch, a pair of black, strappy Stuart Weitzman heels and one of Princess Diana’s gold heirloom bracelets. The Duchess then complimented the dress’s navy blue hue with a bright, glossy shade of pink on her lips and rounded out the sleek eveningwear look with a slicked-back bun.
