Los Angeles police were searching for at least one suspect who opened fire near a Harbor Gateway intersection and struck multiple houses, authorities said.
There were no victims in the shooting, which occurred about 3:15 p.m. near 204th Street and Western Avenue, Sgt. Bradley Hearn said.
Investigators found casings at the scene, Hearn said. It wasn’t immediately known if the gunfire came from a moving vehicle or if the suspect jumped into a vehicle and fled.
Police did not yet have suspect information, but the vehicle involved may have been a Honda, Hearn said.
Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to contact the Los Angeles Police Department’s Harbor Station at 310-726-7701.
