The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off of one of their most frustrating losses of the season. They fell to the Houston Rockets on Thursday thanks to some questionable officiating. James Harden attempted a season-high 19 free throws while the Lakers resorted to playing defense with their hands behind their backs in protest. Playing against the Rockets often means playing against the officials. Harden and Chris Paul are excellent at convincing referees that fouls exist where none seemed apparent. But that game is in the past. The Lakers can’t let it consume them as they prepare for their next battle.
That will take place tonight against the Charlotte Hornets. They may not be a juggernaut, but they will give the Lakers a competitive game this season as they have almost everyone else. Behind a new system installed by Head Coach James Borrego, the Hornets are playing a much more modern style that suits the talent that they have. Here are the expected starting lineups for both sides in tonight’s game. If the Lakers manage the night correctly, they should emerge with a win.
