What a difference a few nights can make. The Los Angeles Lakers lost an incredibly frustrating game to the Houston Rockets on Thursday behind some very questionable officiating. On Saturday, they responded by blowing the Charlotte Hornets out of the water. They managed to channel all of their anger and frustration into the best basketball that they have played all season. It came at the perfect time, as the Lakers look to make the most of this long road trip.
Now they have another chance for a blowout. They are playing against the dysfunctional Washington Wizards only a day after they traded for Trevor Ariza, so the team will clearly have some adjustments to make. It had adjustments to make either way, though, as they are 11-18 and a long way from the postseason in the Eastern Conference. The Lakers got one big win against a weak Eastern Conference opponent this weekend. They should be able to cap off the back-to-back with another on Sunday. Here are the expected starting lineups for both sides in the first game between these teams this season.
