The Los Angeles Chargers (11-4) are visiting the Denver Broncos (6-9) and they will have just about everyone they could hope for active. The team released their inactives list via Twitter a few moments ago:
Our #DENvsLAC Inactives:
CB Jeff Richards
RB Troymaine Pope
RB Detrez Newsome
C Cole Toner
WR Dylan Cantrell
DE Anthony Lanier
DT T.Y. McGill— Los Angeles Chargers (@Chargers) December 30, 2018
Notably, running backs Austin Ekeler and Melvin Gordon will be active for this week 17 contest. Both could probably stand to have another week of rest before the playoffs, but there is still a chance to take the one seed if the Kansas City Chiefs falter against the Oakland Raiders this afternoon.
Interestingly, second-year offensive lineman Forrest Lamp is active. The offensive line was especially awful last week against the Baltimore Ravens, so perhaps we will actually see a rotation with Lamp. Dan Feeney, Michael Schofield, and Sam Tevi could all do with some time on the bench the way they have played recently.
Regardless of who gets snaps at offensive line, they will have their hands full with the Broncos’ pass rush. Hopefully, they can keep Philip Rivers upright.
