The Los Angeles Chargers are tied for the best record in the conference following last Thursday’s amazing comeback victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. With two games left to play in the regular season, they have a very realistic chance at claiming the one seed, getting a bye, and hosting a playoff game in the divisional round at StubHub.
They have gotten to this point while being without their young star tight end, Hunter Henry. He was lost for what at the time was expected to be the entire season back in the Spring. Now, however, Henry is back at practice:
Injury/Roster Update:
Hunter Henry returned to practice today but remains on Physically Unable to Perform and does not count against the 53-man roster limit. There is a 21-day practice window to either be activated or miss the remainder of the season.

Despite being on the PUP, Henry could play as early as this weekend against the Baltimore Ravens. That seems an incredibly remote possibility, but especially following this morning’s report, it seems there is a real chance for him to play in week 17 against the Denver Broncos.
The Chargers have one of the two or three best offenses in the National Football League and the return of Henry would clearly make them even better. This is exciting news, indeed.
